Role Overview

As a Global Lead Solution Architecture, you will provide leadership in key strategic technology initiatives that support Sandoz’s business objectives, thus providing value to the enterprise. You will manage the development of architectural standards, and the direction and design of architecture for a business or technical domain.

Major Accountabilities

• Oversee architectural activities for a specific business or technology domain, or architectural practice area, or manage the development of solution architectures for projects or programs within a business area.
• Coordinate with other teams to ensure the right business and technical capabilities are incorporated into the solution with an appropriate scaling model for future increases in capacity
• Ensure business processes, business requirements & outcomes are defined to drive the architecture definition
• Define standards and direction of architecture in the specific business or technical domain.
• Define and develop the logical design and information management strategies necessary to store, move and manage data in a new target state.
• Utilize architecture patterns to suggest the most adequate utilization of technical platforms in support of the holistic solution architecture design.
• Define, create, and evolve the Architecture Governance Framework (e.g., architecture methods, practices, and standards) for IT.

Key Performance Indicators

• Completeness, adequacy, and correctness of the domain architecture meeting its functional and non-functional needs and requirements
• Strategy and infrastructure landscape alignment
• Documented architecture pattern(s) in the architecture handbook of the solution
• Operational and cost efficiency
• Key stakeholder trainings

Minimum Requirements

• Experience with change management through process engineering and/or participating in large-scale IT change / transformation programs
• Experienced in guiding and developing diverse teams across wide geographies & in collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to align a strategic IT service portfolio with business needs.
• Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills to present features and solution recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• An entrepreneurial mindset driven by curiosity, continuous improvement, and interest in technical advancements and trends.

Experience:

• At least 5 years of direct experience in Solution Architecture design, development, support, and operations
• Solid understanding of the IT infrastructure and IT service management-related topics
• Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and properly delegate work
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments is a plus
• Experience in product delivery and architecture, including as an Architect of enterprise solutions
